Christmas in February

Alright, so I know I'm a nerd.... and I'm okay with that but I must ask, what is with nerds and the joy of signing up for next years classes.

We love it. Its better than opening presents on Christmas morning. Seriously, you should see our faces when we get our schedules. We run around, scream, jump and rub it into peoples faces that "Yes, I got into I.B." or "What? Your taking that class? Eww, I took that LAST year."
We get quite snobby, yet, we glow in it. We go home and scream at our parents, telling them that we can't believe what classes we're taking next year and how difficult and stressful  it's going to be and in our head we can not wait til summer when we get to work on cool Upperclassmen projects.

Just to let you know, I will be taking I.B. for sure. And I do have some crazy classes but i don't want to rub it in.... Well I do but honestly I did too much already today.

Tomorrow's Valentines Day and today is Friday the 13th, that's a little strange?
I'm going to be surprised tomorrow by my awesome girlfriend. I kinda feel like girl but its okay because I surprised her today :)

I don't really have anything else to say about the last few days?

international baccalaureate

Currently I'm debating... Hmm... should I take the infamous I.B. program?

There is so much work and effort... and homework that I need to do.

Can I do it?

Sure.

Will I pass?

Sure.

Will I have a social life?

Probably Not.

For those who aren't aware of the I.B. program, its a series of College Level courses taught in High School for Junior and Senior year. The advantages out weight the negatives but it is scary to think that I will be in College 2 1/2 years from now.

Today I got called into the I.B. office to talk about next year and if I'm interested in taking it. I found myself signing up, but it was more like an out of body experience. My classes look intimidating. From simple I.B. Chemistry Standard Level to I.B. Higher Level Calculus AB. The answer I said today was, believe it or not, the biggest step I have had to make and probably the biggest step i will have to make in High School. That and the never-ending question of what college I will attend.

Am I ready for this?

No.

Can I achieve great things?

Yes.

Introduction Needed....

Alright, my name is Matt Del Muro. I'm 5'9", Mexican, Smart, Outgoing, like to take long walks on the beach, etc.

I am sophomore at a private school in the suburbs of Los Angeles County.

I decided, Hey, if I'm going to be miserable throughout my next two high school years, I might as well blog about it.

Band and school are my life. Period.

I have nothing else.

Since I decided to blog, I will take you through a tour of a Modern day High School Student and the crazy situations we face everyday.
